Our STory

Rioz Global was founded by lifelong friends Rob Osgood and Tim Rivers, who shared a passion for logistics and a desire to build something of their own. The name RIOZ reflects that partnership, blending RI from Rivers and OZ from Osgood.

The foundations of the business were laid long before it officially began. Growing up together in the UK, Rob and Tim developed a strong friendship through football and school. Their first exposure to logistics came through Rob’s father, Geoff Osgood, whose 40 years of experience in global supply chains gave them a deep understanding of the industry and its demands.

Over the years, Rioz Global has grown into a trusted logistics partner, building relationships with prestigious clients and managing international operations with precision and care. While the business has evolved, the founding principle remains the same: to deliver bespoke, transparent logistics solutions with a personal touch.

As Rob explains,

β€œWe started this business as friends, and we try to project that in our business, how we deal with our staff, how we deal with our clients, it’s all very personable and positive. That is the nature of who we are.”

A major influence on Rioz Global’s success is Geoff Osgood’s extensive background in logistics. Geoff began his career in 1975 with AEI (now part of DHL), working across various operational and sales leadership roles in both the UK and the US, including positions at Pandair and Expeditors International.

In 2007, Geoff founded PNC Global Logistics, expanding its services to include e-commerce fulfilment alongside traditional air, sea, and customs operations. After selling the company in 2017, he brought more than four decades of global experience to Rioz Global, where his knowledge continues to shape the company’s direction and client partnerships.

At its core, Rioz Global remains a family-influenced business built on trust, relationships, and expertise. These values continue to guide every shipment, partnership, and interaction, ensuring every client receives the care and attention they deserve.

WHAT WE STAND FOR

At the heart of Rioz, our values shape how we work every day. In a constantly changing business environment, we adapt with agility to meet evolving customer needs while staying true to what matters most: trust, resilience, and human connection.

We have expanded our warehouse facility space to 30,000 sq ft, and by January, this will increase to 50,000 sq ft, giving us greater capacity to serve our clients and support their growth.

Our team is built on strong personal bonds, and we extend that same spirit of collaboration and openness to every client, working as a true partner rather than just a service provider. Having navigated challenges such as Brexit, Covid, and rising costs, we’ve strengthened our operations, sharpened our risk management, and proven our determination to deliver.
